My First Poem
My First Poem I wrote this poem about birds when I was ten years old. When I was in high school, I began writing in journals. I love journaling for lots of reasons. I jot down lots of things in my journal--from things as hum-drum as my day-to-day activities to new poems and other ideas for new projects. Later, I can come back to ideas when I have more time to develop them. I also enjoy looking back on my journals and seeing the first spark of an idea that grows into a story, and then into a book.
